Everything you need to know about our races, pub runs, and training groups. Find answers to common questions below.
You can register for individual races through our website or in person at the store. There is no separate series registration. Simply sign up for any race in the series and your results will automatically count toward points and sweatshirt eligibility.
Sweatshirts are earned by completing eight of the ten races, and both the long and short distances count toward this goal. Series points are for competitive runners and only count from the longer distance at each event. Points determine cash prizes and jackets.
Not at all. Our Wednesday pub runs welcome runners and walkers of all places. We group people by speed, so everyone feels comfortable. The goal is community and fun, not competition. Come join us and earn miles toward our 100 Mile shirt or 200 Mile glass.
Yes, most of our kids’ events are completely free and every finisher receives a medal. The Summer Youth Track League is the one exception with a small fee to cover coaching and facilities. All other fun runs for kids have no cost to participate.
Missing a race does not disqualify you from earning a sweatshirt as long as you complete eight total events. For series points, we count all ten events so missing a race can hurt your overall score since you receive zero points for that event.
We track your miles manually at the store. Each week we log your distance and add it to your total. When you reach one hundred miles, you earn a shirt and your picture goes on our wall. At two hundred miles, you earn a custom glass.
The Saturday trail runs typically meet at Pandapas Pond at eight in the morning. These runs are organized with the Blacksburg Striders. Check our website or social media for weekly updates as start times may vary with the seasons.
You can absolutely run the shorter distance and still earn the sweatshirt for completing eight races. The shorter distance does not qualify for series points or overall awards, but it counts toward your sweatshirt goal and is a great option for beginners.
We monitor weather conditions closely and make decisions based on safety. Most races happen rain or shine. If conditions become unsafe, we will communicate cancellations or delays through email, social media, and our website. Check before heading out.
